The Bologna construction is a historic shoe making technique that is not often found due to the extra steps and care that are required. The lining is shaped into a circular bag, “sacchetto” in Italian, then sewn to the upper, and finally sewn to the outer sole. This construction results in a soft, flexible, and extremely comfortable shoe. Pastori uses this shoe construction exclusively.
